I enjoyed some shorter workouts this week. I was even able to get to yoga TWICE this week! All in all, training is going well. I'm being consistent and can feel myself getting stronger. I've slowed most of my runs down, except for my stride runs, I think slowing down is working for me. Most of my runs are averaging in the 12's but when I do my strides my legs are able to speed up without any problems.
The weather has been wacky this week...well, sort of wacky. It's been raining A LOT, that's par for the course here in the NW, BUT we've seen SNOW this week. Places like Minnesota and Boston are in the 70's and we're getting snow?!?! Today, during my run I got pelted with hail for basically the entire run and the minute I got home, sunshine. Come on spring, I know you're there, see look...SPROUTLINGS!
This weekend was the first Rev3 race of the season...in COSTA RICA! I wish I could have been there. Here's a great shot from the Pro field...cows as a road hazard, looks like it was a great time.
And here is a pic from the pain cave before my 2 hour ride on Saturday. I'd say I'm moving in the right direction.
Hope all those that raced this weekend, raced well! I'm moving into Base 2 next week--I'm ready!
